Model UN members Charlotte Wolfe ‘25, Caitlin Scanlon ‘25, Sydney Hirlic ‘25, Madeline White ‘26, Lilly Dever ‘26, and Jenna Leary ‘26 attended the Philadelphia World Affairs Counsel’s annual Model Senate at Temple University. They played the roles of expert witnesses and senators, working in committees on AI and Cybersecurity or Medical Innovation and Research. The girls prepared lots of research on their designated roles and topic; and did an excellent job working to create policy proposals within their respective committees. They had a great day simulating the United States Senate and getting an inside look at the legislative process in our country.

PEER ADVISORY LEAGUE CHRISTMAS PARTY |

PAL functions as a peer mentoring initiative designed to support the adjustment of first-year students to high school life, fostering social and academic integration within our community On December 12, we hosted our annual Christmas Pollyanna gift exchange gala. The enthusiasm of the girls was palpable as each PAL group member presented a chosen gift, adhering to the $15 limit. The atmosphere of the event exuded warmth and festivity, complemented by an assortment of delicious donuts and piping hot chocolate. We provided crossword puzzles and coloring pages to facilitate bonding among the girls in their respective groups through shared experiences. Overall, this gathering successfully united the girls, creating a cozy and welcoming ambiance.

Attentions Sophs, Juniors and Seniors: Gwynedd will be offering 5 different Summer Service Immersion Trips in 2024 to a various locations. -
Trip 1: Catholic HEART Workcamp, June 9-15, 2024, Memphis, TN
- Trip 2: Mercy Ecospirtuality Center / Mercy Farm, June 10-14, 2024, Benson, VT (Juniors Only)
- Trip 3: ARISE, June 15 - 22, Alamo, TX
- Trip 4: Misericordia, Heart of Mercy, June 23 - 29, Chicago, IL
- Trip 5: The Romero Center, July 29 - August 3, Camden, NJ
Students will receive more information during seminar classes. Each of the five trips meets the criteria for the Junior-year Service-Learning Program. Summer Service Immersion trip applications are available on Canvas in the Grades 9, 10, and 11 All-Students class pages. Application deadline is Friday, January 26.

Private lessons at Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School are provided in the following areas: Piano, Voice, Guitar, Strings, Woodwinds, Brass, Percussion, and Harp. Music lessons are scheduled at a mutually agreed upon non-academic time during the school day. There are a total of 24 ½-hour lessons per year (12 per semester); the lesson tuition price is $450 per semester. Students interested in taking music lessons during the Spring Semester are asked to complete the registration form and lesson contract linked below.

Ethan Pascucci, a coach of Gwynedd Rowing's freshmen, and brother of Charley Pascucci '25, will be featured in an upcoming episode of "A Home for the Holidays," a TV special on CBS which raises awareness and celebrated families whose lives have been changed through adoption. The segment will highlight Ethan's journey and will include interviews with Head Coach, Lou McCormick, as well as a few of our student-athletes.
The special will air on Friday, Dec. 22 (8PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network, and stream on Paramount+. Be sure to check it out! |

GMAHS is proud to partner with TruMark Financial Credit Union to bring their Financial Reality Fair to school on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. Students in grades 9, 10, and 11 will take turns attending the fair, where they will learn about budgeting.
We are in need of 4 more volunteers to help staff the various stations that students will visit during the event. If you are available from 8AM to 1PM on January 17th, please complete the form to sign up.

Fathers attending are asked to bring a six pack of either beer or hard seltzer that will be used as prizes for the pub games at McAuley’s Pub Night. The McAuley’s Pub Night committee, chaired by Tory Munoz P’25, is off and running with plans for an evening of Irish food, entertainment, and merriment on March 2, 2024. This year, proceeds from Pub Night will go to the Campaign for a New Monarch Wing.
